Dragonair Adds Jinjiang to China Network through New Code-Share with Shenzhen Airlines

Dragonair Adds Jinjiang to China Network through New Code-Share with Shenzhen Airlines

Dragonair today announced the launch of a new code-share agreement with Shenzhen Airlines that has added Jinjiang in Fujian to its network. Under the new code-share agreement, Dragonair's "KA" code has been placed on Shenzhen Airlines' three daily return flights between Hong Kong and Jinjiang. Tickets for the new code-share services are already on sale.

Jinjiang is Dragonair's 23rd destination in Mainland China and becomes the 17th destination to have been launched or resumed by the airline since April 2012. With this latest addition, the airline will serve 50 destinations in Asia.

A delegation from Shenzhen Airlines, led by Mr Shang Tao, Party Secretary of the Marketing & Sales Committee, attended a cocktail reception in Hong Kong to celebrate the new partnership.

Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Algernon Yau said: "We are pleased to be able to offer our passengers yet another new destination through this important new code-share agreement. This partnership with Shenzhen Airlines will boost both business and leisure travel between Hong Kong and Jinjiang. It will also provide passengers travelling from Jinjiang with more choice and flexibility when travelling through our superb Hong Kong hub to connect to Dragonair's Asian network or the international network of our sister airline, Cathay Pacific."

Shenzhen Airlines' Mr Shang Tao said: "Based on statistical information, one-fifth of the Hong Kong population can trace their family roots back to Fujian province. The code-share agreement on the Hong Kong-Jinjiang service will facilitate family visits and business and cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Fujian, as well as further deepening cooperation between Mainland China and Hong Kong."

Details of the new code-share flights are as follows (all times local):
