Dragonair has once again been named an "Asia Excellence Brand 2011" by Yazhou Zhoukan, a news and current affairs magazine highly regarded within the Chinese community in the Asia Pacific region.
This is the second consecutive year for Dragonair to receive the honour which is presented to 17 of the most influential brands in five countries and territories across Asia: Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. The awarded brands were selected based on a survey among business elites in June 2011 and the votes of Yazhou Zhoukan readers. The final most popular brands are recognised as "Asia Excellence Brands" by the magazine.
"Branding is everything that people see and feel about a company. At Dragonair, a solid foundation that stretches back 26 years has helped us establish a strong brand and a solid reputation in the region, boosted by our reliable and frequent flight connections, top-quality products and warm-hearted service," said Dragonair Chief Executive Officer Patrick Yeung.
Dragonair has won a number of other plaudits in 2011 including being named "World's Best Regional Airline" by Skytrax and "Best Regional Airline" in the Annual TTG Travel Awards. Both of these awards were received for the second year in a row.
"The Yazhou Zhoukan honour, and the other recognition we've received this year, is down to the dedication of our outstanding team. People are the biggest asset of the company as they have helped to shape the uniqueness of the brand and our pursuit of service excellence," Mr Yeung added.
