Dragonair's New Kolkata Service to Launch in November; Chiang Mai Service to Become Year-Round

Dragonair today announced that its new four-times-weekly service to Kolkata will launch on 2 November, offering more travel choices and greater convenience for passengers travelling between Hong Kong and Eastern India. The new service will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.

Kolkata is Dragonair's second passenger destination in India, adding to the current daily service between Hong Kong and Bengaluru. Travellers can connect through the Hong Kong hub to and from Dragonair's Mainland China network as well as destinations in North America and Australia through seamless connections on the extensive global network of sister airline Cathay Pacific.

The Kolkata flight schedule is as follows (all times are local):

Meanwhile, in view of the growing demand, Dragonair will also turn the Chiang Mai seasonal service into a year-round scheduled service. The airline launched the direct non-stop service to the popular leisure destination in July.

Since April, Dragonair has launched or resumed services to Xi'an, Guilin, Jeju, Taichung, Clark in the Philippines and Chiang Mai, and a daily service to Haikou will resume on 28 October. Kolkata will be the eighth destination added to the airline's network this year.

Dragonair, an affiliate member of oneworld, is a Hong Kong-based airline operating a fleet of 35 passenger aircraft and serving 39 regional destinations, including 19 cities in Mainland China. Dragonair has been recognised for its product and service quality, and was voted for two consecutive years "World's Best Regional Airline" in the annual World Airline Survey run by Skytrax in 2010 and 2011. Dragonair is part of the Cathay Pacific Group, providing seamless connectivity for passengers to more than 160 cities around the globe.
