Swire Properties today kicked off a spectacular series of festivities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Taikoo Li Chengdu, the Company's flagship mixed-use development in Southwest China, including an art exhibition "Your Incredible Moments" (你的时分) and a documentary film showcasing Taikoo Li Chengdu’s remarkable journey as a successful urban regeneration project in the Chinese Mainland, and its emergence as a world-class retail landmark.
Situated in the heart of Chengdu's Jinjiang District, Taikoo Li Chengdu features an open-air, lane-driven retail mall and The Temple House, a luxury hotel by The House Collective. Since opening in 2015, Taikoo Li Chengdu has become an iconic landmark, celebrated for its innovative design that pays homage to traditional Sichuan architecture and seamlessly integrates with the ancient, 1,600-year-old Daci Temple. The development has been welcoming over 30 million visitors annually, establishing itself as a retail and leisure landmark for both locals and tourists.

"Your Incredible Moments" Exhibition: A Tribute to Heritage and Innovation
At the heart of the anniversary celebrations is an art exhibition, "Your Incredible Moments", which pays tribute to Taikoo Li Chengdu’s decade of boundless creativity and imagination. Located in the development's Temple Plaza, the exhibition features a striking 10-metre-tall, 10-sided pavilion crafted from recycled wooden beams that reflect the region's architectural heritage. Viewed from above, the pavilion and the heritage wall (照壁) form the number "10," while from the ground level it resembles a vessel filled with memories, emotions and imagination. Inside the exhibition, 10 multi-layered illustrations are presented, each depicting a unique "moment" that reflects the city, its people and their extraordinary experiences at Taikoo Li Chengdu. The pieces also inspire visitors to explore their own "incredible moments" within the context of this dynamic urban environment.

"Oral History" Documentary: A Journey Through Time
A standout feature of Taikoo Li Chengdu's 10th anniversary celebrations is the launch of a special documentary film that follows the development's journey. "An Oral History Documentary for Taikoo Li Chengdu's 10th Anniversary" features interviews with more than 50 Swire Properties' colleagues and partners to chronicle the project's remarkable transition from the initial blueprint to the present day. It offers a multi-dimensional perspective on Taikoo Li Chengdu's growth and transformation, providing an insider's look at the challenges faced, the innovative solutions implemented, and the unwavering dedication of the team behind this one-of-a-kind project.
Strategic Upgrades and Sustainability Leadership
To maintain its status as a cultural shopping and lifestyle destination, Taikoo Li Chengdu has undergone two significant tenant-mix upgrades in recent years, with the first phase commencing in 2022 and the second in 2024. By the end of 2024 more than 215 brands had either opened new stores or undertaken significant renovations. Among these were around 80 regional and national store debuts, such as Cartier Maison, CAFÉ DIOR BY ANNE-SOPHIE PIC, Goyard's first duplex and newest concept store in Asia, Lemaire's first store in China, LOEWE Gaozhai Chengdu, Louis Vuitton Maison & THE HALL, The World of Ralph Lauren (Double RL & Ralph's Bar), and the new Tiffany & Co. flagship store. These enhancements have introduced innovative concepts and created fresh experiences that help elevate the luxury retail and lifestyle landscape in Southwest China.
In line with Swire Properties' Sustainable Development (SD) 2030 Strategy and 2050 Net Zero vision, Taikoo Li Chengdu has become the first and only commercial development in Southwest China to achieve both LEED and WELL Platinum certifications.
