In October, John Swire & Sons (China) Limited signed an agreement with the China Development Research Foundation (“CDRF”) pledging RMB 2 million to CDRF's China Rural Education and Child Health Programme (“China-REACH”), to support the establishment of the Rural Child Development Demonstration Zone in Bijie Pilot Area, in Guizhou Province. Swire’s donation will primarily fund the China-REACH Programme for children under three in Linkou, in Qixingguan District. Zhang Zhuoping, Chairman of John Swire & Sons (China) Limited, said: “We are excited to work with CDRF to promote early childhood development and education in less developed locations and revitalise rural areas through our joint initiative.”
